OxySure® named Finalist for Tech Titans Innovator Award
FRISCO, Texas – August 20, 2008 --- OxySure® Systems, Inc., a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of short-duration oxygen products, announced today it was named a Finalist in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Technology Business Council Tech Titans Awards.
As a Finalist in the Innovator Award category, OxySure is being recognized for its pioneering accomplishments in creating its revolutionary “oxygen from powder” emergency oxygen technology. The selection builds on OxySure’s rapidly growing list of awards and recognition; earlier this year it was named to the 2008 list of the World’s Best Technologies.
OxySure’s unique method for creating medical oxygen utilizes a combination of two dry, inert powders. This technology platform is the first and only new oxygen technology to be commercialized in more than 30 years. OxySure’s first product, a lightweight, non-pressurized portable emergency oxygen device based on this technology was cleared by the Food & Drug Administration for over the counter sale.
The company has plans to commercialize other unique products in the foreseeable future, including products for sports & recreation, aviation, mining, wound care and skin care.
