Honor a Hero, Hire a Veteran Job and Resource Fair Networking and Business Opportunity Summit
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 19, 2008) - The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), The Employment Development Department (EDD), General Services Administration (GSA), Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA), Department of General Services (DGS), Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), California Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise Alliance (DVBE), California Department of Veteran Affairs (CDVA), American River College (ARC), California State University, Sacramento (CSUS), University of California, Davis (UCD), and Sacramento Veterans Resource Center (SVRC), will present the Honor a Hero, Hire a Veteran Job and Resource Fair located at American River College on 4700 College Oak Drive Sacramento, California 95841 commencing at 1pm and concluding at 5pm.
This one day event will provide job opportunities for veterans and will also assist veterans interested in starting a business, expanding a small business, or learning about contracting opportunities with Federal, State, local municipalities, and prime contractors. Opportunities will be available to meet with bank loan officers to discuss financing options for DVBE and Veteran Small Businesses Enterprises.
Franchising executives will also be available to discuss possible franchising opportunities. Workshops will be conducted for financing alternatives and government contracting. Veterans are invited to join and learn about valuable information, available services, and meet with employers to assist with their career goals. Numerous industries will have representatives available for information and possible interviews. General admission is free.
